Ark Valley Electric’s 87th Annual Meeting

The 87th Annual Meeting of The Ark Valley Electric Cooperative Association, Inc. was held on Tuesday, April 14, at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.

There were 214 registered members, and 10 registered by proxy. About 464 people attended the dinner meeting, which was catered by Fence Post Catering of Harper.

Joe Seiwert of Pretty Prairie, Doug Barr of Nickerson and Steve Penner of Windom were elected to a three year term on the Ark Valley Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees.

All members attending the meeting received a knife/peeler set from Ark Valley Electric and after the business meeting a drawing was held for door prizes. If you were not able to attend and would like a knife/peeler set, it can be purchased for $10, while supplies last. All money received will benefit Ark Valley Electric’s scholarship fund.
